The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women and children experiencing poverty and homelessness. More than 43 percent of Denver’s homeless population is women and most have children to take care of as well.  The Gathering Place provides a daytime refuge and services to help women in distress and meet their most pressing needs and helps pave a way towards rebuilding their lives. SOL is proud to help the mission of The Gathering Place by donating new and gently used bras to some of the 60,000 plus women who are assisted by the The Gathering Place each year.

Free The Girls

Free The Girls is a non-profit organization that provides job opportunities for survivors of sex trafficking. SOL has partnered with them in an exciting way! We are now a drop off for Free the Girls donations and are mentioned on their website. The bras donated will go to either the Gathering Place, or Free the Girls, depending on the size and our needs. Free the Girls needs colorful, smaller sizes.  We need larger sizes.

Morgan Adams Foundation

Morgan Adams was a beautiful, vivacious and healthy five-year-old girl when she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 1997. She battled with incredible spirit, determination and good humor for nearly a year before eventually succumbing to the disease. Heartbreaking to be sure, but even more so because Morgan’s father Steven was the first photographer for SOL - Store of Lingerie and created our iconic original black and white campaigns. We knew and loved Morgan. So when her parents created the Morgan Adams Foundation to raise money and awareness on behalf of children affected by cancer, we had to be involved.

Race for the Cure

One of the most rewarding parts of working at SOL – Store of Lingerie is helping women who have been affected by breast cancer look and feel beautiful again. But we’d like even more would be to help eradicate breast cancer all together!  That’s why we do everything we can to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. From dressing in all pink and walking /running in 5k’s to assisting with fashion shows and partnering with realistic prosthetic organizations, breast cancer is always top of mind for the SOL Girls.  When your life’s passion is helping women feel beautiful and you work with bras and boobs all day – how could we not get involved every way we can?
